Michelle's Bachelorette Party was a big success! I hosted the party at our new house soon after moving in. We were a bit limited in what we could do because my co MOH, Julie, is only 19. Not that we would have done anything too crazy even if we could! Michelle's high school buddy Kristen helped decorate and get supplies for our spa activities. We started with some yummy refreshments in the kitchen and then we went outside and pampered our nails, feet, and faces with some homemade spa treatments. I need to get a pic from Kristen of all of us with blueberry facials- we scared my new neighbors with that look :) I made personalized headbands for everyone that stated their role in the wedding and "Michelle's Bachelorette Bash June 13, 2009." These were a big hit and we continued to wear them for all of the wedding events the following week. Once we didn't look like aliens anymore, we went out to Genova's for dinner. We took Kristen's car which we had decorated in fun signs that said things like "Last Night Out" and "Bachelorette Party: Clear the Road." We ate on the back deck and the atmosphere was perfect. We tried some new drinks and they were pretty good. Next, we went to Greenmount Bowl, which was completely dead except for one other group. Once the jukebox came on at 9, we got in a battle with them over control of the music. That was pretty entertaining, because they kept beating us and playing really bad 50s crap- nothing anyone should bowl too...Kristen did manage to get Stevie Wonder on for me! After some high school kids came in though, it was all Black Eyed Peas, so we conceeded and headed over to Greenmount Station for drinks. They make pretty good mojitoes and Michelle got a madori sour. He accidentally made her an amaretto sour, which I tried and it's my new fave. The bartender roasted Michelle pretty well and the live music was what we grew up on- Tom Petty, etc, so we had a fun couple of hours. Then we went back to the house, played imaginiff, and watched a movie. It was pretty late when we got to sleep, but we had a really good night.
